YCM8N Series circuit breakers are developed according to domestic and international market demand, as well as similar products.

Its rated insulation voltage is up to 1000V, suitable for AC 50-60Hz distribution network circuit whose rated operation voltage is up to 690V, rated operation current from 10A to 630A. It can distribute power, protect the circuit and power supply devices from the damage of overload,short circuit and under voltage, etc.

This series of circuit breaker is featured as high breaking capacity and short arcing. It can be installed vertically (namely vertical installation) and also installed horizontally (namely horizontal installation).

Standards: IEC60947-2.

Operating conditions

1. Altitude: Below 2000m

2. Temperature: The temperature of media is not higher than 40°C ( +45°C for marine products) and not lower than -5°C.

3. Can withstand the bad environment of damp air, mold, radiation.

4. The maximum inclination is 22.5 degree.

5. Can work reliably under normal vibration of ship.

6. Can work reliably under earthquake(4g).

7. Should be no rain and snow hit.

8. The media should be no explosion danger and no gas which can corrode the metal or destroy the insulating or conductive dust.

Technical Parameters

The thermal trip unit of the circuit breaker features an inverse time-delay characteristic;The magnetic trip characteristics are shown in Table 2 (for distribution use)

Altitude Derating

When the altitude is below 2000m, it will not affect the performance of the circuit breaker. When exceeding this altitude, the decrease in air insulation characteristics and cooling capacity must be considered; the following correction factors are used for installations at altitudes exceeding 2000m:

Note:In high-altitude environments,the breaking capacity needs to be derated according to the corresponding rated working voltage,generally selected between 75%and 50%,which is inversely proportional to the altiude.For details,please communicate with the technical department

When the temperature exceeds 40°C, the overload protection will have slight changes. In the release time/current curve, the Ir setting value of the circuit breaker must be corrected according to the following coefficients I/Ir.

Mechanical Accessories

Phase Spacers

·Phase spacers can enhance the insulation performance between phase conductors and
can be installed from the front slot even after the switch is installed.

·Phase spacers are standard equipment,with 4 pieces for a 3P circuit breaker.

Extension Terminals

Extension terminals are connected to the standard terminals of the circuit breaker to pro vide various wiring solutions in a small space:

• Straight extension terminals
• Pole pitch extension terminals

Busbars and extension terminals can be connected to the inlet or outlet end of the circuit
breaker.

Handle Operating Mechanism

·The circuit breaker is operated by rotating the handle.The ergonomically designed ro-
tating handle makes the operation of the circuit breaker more flexible.
·There are two forms of rotating handle operating mechanisms:

Direct rotating handle (round hand operation,square hand operation)

Extended rotating handle (round extended hand operation,square extended hand oper-
ation)

·User visual information/settings:

Three position indications:OFF,ON,TRIP

The circuit breaker cannot be closed when the door is open.
The door cannot be opened when closed.

The shaft length of the extended handle can be customized according to the distance
from the back of the circuit breaker to the door.

Note: The micro switch connected in series with the coil inside the K-shunt trip is a normally closed contact, which will disconnect automatically after the circuit breaker is tripped and close when closed.

P1 and P2 are external power inputs. SB1 and SB2 are operation buttons (provided by the user).
